Kinetic Moves is a Brisbane-based dance company built on energy, growth, and genuine connection.

Founded over a decade ago, Kinetic has grown from a small workshop company into a thriving community and training company. We believe dance is more than moves. It is confidence, passion, discipline, and self-expression.

Our programs are designed to develop strong, versatile dancers while also building mindset, creativity, and character. From beginners to competitive crews and advanced pathways, every dancer is supported, challenged, and seen.

Kinetic Moves is a home for dancers who want to grow, create, and move with purpose.

RHYS HUME

FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

Rhys Hume is a Brisbane-based choreographer, creative director, and the founder of Kinetic Moves. With over 20 years of dance experience and almost a decade leading his own studio, Rhys has become a respected figure within the Brisbane and Australian dance community.

Known for his high-energy training style and human-first approach, Rhys is deeply passionate about developing not only strong dancers but strong people. Guided by his belief that “good humans make great dancers,” his programs focus on foundations, culture, mindset, and personal growth alongside performance and technique.

Rhys has taught and travelled internationally and worked with artists including Tones and I, Jason Derulo, Keiynan Lonsdale, Jolin, Chris Wu, Chai, and Young Franco.

His work blends street culture, performance excellence, and community building to create environments where dancers are challenged, supported, and inspired to pursue their potential.
